These K-9 Literacy Patrol members were found in the Topps service station located about four miles west of Pittsboro on the way to Jordan Lake. In addition to gas, fishing tackle, bait, and other sundries, they try to make sure everyone takes a book with them to the lake -- just in case the fish aren't biting.
